Recently I have been delving into my family history and I am learning about my family from the Greenport NY. My great grandfather was a painter at the Greenport Shipyard way back in the early 1900's. This piece was painted thinking about all the fisherman, military and merchant marine who's boats where made to give them save passage at the Greenport Shipyard.
